Running the length of New Zealand

This is my draft copy of my Running the Length of NZ. I have tried to use figurative language in my writing. The numbers tell how many figurative language devices are needed in my story.

Today I ran around the whole school my heart was pounding so much I could even hear my heartbeat through my ears. It felt like pin and needles stabbing me in the heart. The cold air crushing my lungs making it harder to breathe. Slip slop slap of my feet hitting the ground feeling the cool breeze through my hair. I am very anxious and scared. I didn't finish my story about me running the length of New Zealand.
