Gymnastics 3- The Last Session
When we got to gymnastics we got into groups my friends and I were in the same group. All of the groups did warm ups, first we ran around the dots then skipping. That was it for the warm ups then we did stretch it was hard to stretch. Then we went onto our rotations and started with the high beams, that you had to balance on them and you had to do a rolly poly on the beam. That was the most challenging thing that I did at gymnastics over 3 lessons.

Gym 2
Last week we walked over the gymnastics gym we were taught how to flip around on the trampolines and balance on the balance beam. I can see that the more we go there the more we progress and do harder stuff my favorite thing to do there was flipping on the trampoline. My least favorite was the balance beams had a bit of trouble on it.
Cultures in NZ
. Maori
. British
. Kauai gum digger
. Chinese
.Scandinavian
. Pacific Islander
The Maori came to New Zealand because they wanted a better life.
Scottish,Welsh,Irish,British Thoth language came to New Zealand at 1769-1839 they moved to new Zealand because they wanted there own land.
Kauri gum digger were mostly Dalmatians up north in 1885 because they wanted to get rich.
The Chinese moved to New Zealand because they we immigrate were invited to New Zealand from the the Dunedin's chamber of commerce to replace the western goldmines. Who had followed the gold - fever to Australia however, the produce against the Chinese eventually led to calls for restrictions on immigration.
This is why the Scandinavians moved over to New Zealand, The first few families were attracted to their compatriots in the Manawatu, where they helped to establish Palmerston North. Scandinavians were also in demand for those isolated settlements which several of the provincial governments had established in such places as Stewart Island and Jackson Bay.
The reasons why the Pacific Islanders moved over to New Zealand, After the Second World War, close links, job opportunities and population pressure on some islands led many Pacific people to migrate to New Zealand. During the 1970's the government clamped down on people overstaying their visas, particularly targeting Pacific Islanders.

NZ Top 40 Hits
NZ Top 40 Sentences….https://nztop40.co.nz/chart/singles
Yesterday there was a Heat Wave in New Zealand. When the Heat Wave came I was at the park just down the road. I raced home. My feet were burning from the concrete. When I got home I went straight to the ice blocks then someone was Calling my phone I picked up the phone it was just my sister she talks too much and she said that she was coming to my house. Because she was at her friend's house my sister came at Sundown when she got to my house she just went to bed, she is so lazy. After that I watched Astronaut in the Ocean, a really interesting movie with many twists and unexpected plots.
This is my writing for this week. We were given the NZ Top 40 hits and we had to make sentences using the chart single names which I have highlighted in green.

Statistics
Yesterday we started to work on Statistics at first I thought it was a little bit hard. After I asked for help it was easy. We did graphs like bar graphs, strip graphs, pie graph and we also learnt about median and the mode. The median is the middle number of a group of numbers the mode the number that appears the most. The Average the cost of something for each person divided by the number of people.
e.g.
Ezra-$4
Rhycos-$2
Logan- $1
Cody - $3
TK -$1
Jayden -$1
$4 + $2 + $1 + $3 + $2 = $12 divided by number of people which is 6 which equals to $2 which is the average.

3 strokes we worked on
This year we have been learning how to do our strokes properly e.g. freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke. The main one that we have been working on is freestyle, how to pull our arms past our chest and how to look both ways to breathe.
Swimming sports
This week on Wednesday my whole school had swimming sports. My first event was breast stoke, then free style.
I felt a little bit nervous but proud because it was my first competition at Rawhiti School. I think my swimming has really improved since last year. It is because i have been going to swimming lessons every week.
I like swimming in pools better than the ocean.
